Intermittent

The blog might be a little quiet over the next week or so. I'm still reading apace (currently on 33 down, and we're about to hit week 32), and so do want to share my thoughts on some of these soon, but I'm working on some other writing projects that I barely seem to have the time for, so want to take a little time to focus on those!

    I had a quiet morning at work today, so enjoyed catching up on this blog. Just wanted to congratulate the two of you on sticking with both the reading and the updates. I’ve been following a similar (if much less structured) course of self-improvement this year, mainly trying to fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge of modern classics (after 1900, I get pretty patchy), and it’s been a bit of a slog at times, so reading this was inspiring. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks! Semi-structured self-improvement is definitely where it's at - it's all about having a 'quest'.

    This week has definitely been a slow one - I'm reading some heavier stuff, and trying to balance that with everything else makes reading them less tempting (though always fine when I get going). Likewise, find myself wanting to catch up on my podcasts rather than audiobooks.

    Still ahead of the curve, though, and blogging helps me retain accountability :).
